The PNG Customs Service and Indonesian Customs and Excise have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Mutual Administrative Assistance in Customs Matters (CMAA) last week in Jayapura, Indonesia
The MoU was signed by PNG Customs Chief Commissioner David Towe Indonesian Director for Customs and Excise Askolani.
The MoU is aimed at strengthening the capacity of both organisations by increasing cooperation and collaboration through a series of initiatives and activities designed to improve trade facilitation and border security along the PNG-Indonesian Border. The activities will include exchange of information, joint training programs and sharing of technical expertise and resources.
